Happy Spring!

Oh hello! 

Just a quick note to check in.  Last time I wrote anything I was deep into a winter funk.  Now it’s spring, there is some sun, sometimes, the days are longer, the flowers are coming up, and I am happy. 

Why am I happy?  Because I have the best job of my whole life now.  I am back to working for a place that matters -- that does some good in the world. Unlike stupid jobs I've had at say The Mermaid, an airplane factory, a gaming company, or a place that posts people’s recipes online, where I work now we take care of sick kids. Suck on that old jobs.  

I really love this job. I am making great money, I have good benefits, I like my boss, I like my team, I like everything about my new job. So la la la.  You can hate me.

Enough about that. I know I should be writing. But it seems these days I can really only write when I have a trip to write about.  So it will come as absolute no surprise to you that I am going to Maui in a few weeks for my birthday so that I will have something to write about.  How many times have I been to Hawai'i? This will be my number 27 and my 13^th trip to Maui. Am I flying First Class?  Please. Just because my job is all moral and righteous does not make me any less of a snob than I ever have been. 

So, there you go.  I am alive.  I am happy. I love my job.  I am going to Maui in a few weeks. Life is good.
