-----------------------
So I am sitting here listening to Ludovico Einaudi again. This time it's a different album. Il Giorni, The Days. This music is so grown up and introspective. So unlike me. As you know I am all about the lack of introspection. I am very pro denial. And game playing. I’m all about the game playing, especially with myself. You should know this. You’ve had to read similar pre-planning, whiney, initial posts about trips to Paris and Barcelona:
"Oh, I want to go to Europe."
"Oh, I can’t afford it."
"Oh, I need a vacation so bad."
Wait a minute. I don’t need a vacation bad at all right now. I love my new job, my new boss, and my new team. Have I been replaced by some Pod Clove Head?

Maybe. Any maybe in 9 or 10 months I will be psycho and need to get the hell out of here for a vacation. I certainly will if Mitt Romney is to guide us. I...I can't even consider it.
Anyway, I just love the months of buildup for an international trip – reading guide books, researching restaurants and food, drinking wine from there before you go, listening to local radio stations online, pretending I will lose weight and buy better clothes….and so on.
I think I am going to Rome.
Roma.
Italia.
I’m telling you right now that there is no way in hell I am renting a car.
I want to go next May. May 1st through May 10th, or as they say over there, 1 May 2013 through 10 May 2013, give or take a night. May is maggio. I want to go in maggio.
I know what you are asking right now. What about Amanda Knox? Well, she is free and home so I guess their messed up judicial system works in the end. It is awfully tempting to keep a pox on all of Italy for the rest of time, but I am going to let this go. Am I am bad person? Of course I am.
OK, next comes how to pay for this.
Nah, I'll deal with that later.
For now I just want to buy guide books and plan, for Rome!
