I was in this meeting today. Well not really a meeting. A “stand up”. Everyone does these 15 minutes “stand ups” now so it can appear that you are being agile and lean and you are able to turn on a dime and get things done quickly. It’s very annoying when your leg hurts.
Anyway, this was a “stand up” for an internal re-org that I am working on. There were four guys and probably six women there. Every single woman was wearing boots that came up to her knees and then either pants that were tucked in or colored leotard things.
I have said if before and I will say it again, here, now: Boots looks stupid on every woman except for Emma Peal.
I cannot figure out why women don’t understand this. This reminds me of the line from Buffy The Musical where Buffy says: “Well, I'm not exactly quaking in my stylish yet affordable boots, but there's definitely something unnatural going on here. And that doesn't usually lead to hugs and puppies.”
Wrong Buffy. There is no such thing as stylish boots.
