I just got these wireless web cams for my house. I am not sure why really. I guess that recent incident where thug stole my garbage can was the impetus. The idea was that I could install a camera in the window of my upstairs office and then I could spy on potential thugs from my iPhone or iPad. Turns out that while they do have infrared night vision, like Superman, they don’t work at night if you direct them outside. Something about the range of the infrared vision. So I cannot see potential thuggery unless it comes inside my home. So now I have two little cameras looking at my living room and my back door.
Of course I am unable to look at the live stream at night. I am afraid I will see some kind of horrible supernatural face like the ones they flashed on the screen in the Exorcist.

That or some dark shadow moving about.

I can stand to look in the daytime however and I am seeing something quite odd. I have this painting from Vietnam. It’s of a monk in a brown robe holding a candle.

I love this painting. I went back to the gallery like 5 times to look at it before I coughed up the cash. Well, that’s not true, I am sure I charged it, but whatever. Anyway, I can see the painting on the camera in my living room. And guess what? The monk moves around in the painting. Sometimes he just walks around, and sometimes he just moves his arm that is holding the candle, but there is definitely movement going on. So odd. It’s just like one of those paintings at Hogwarts.
I wonder if I will now get a letter from JK Rowling’s lawyer telling me to cease and desist since I just used the word Hogwarts without permission.
You would think I could see my kittens moving about the house, but they apparently sleep all day long and do not eat, drink, or pee unless I am home. I do hear a lot of airplane noise. Oh, forgot to mention they have a microphone so I can hear and see what is going on remotely. I think someone is mowing the lawn out front. The phone just rang. God my house is boring. Except for the Vietnamese monk who lives in my painting.
