Well golly. 8:45 on a Sunday evening listening to Nic Harcourt. This long weekend of being unemployed has been about 3 things:
• Washing the suburbs out of my hair
• Food
• Shoes
Friday was up early to meet some guy about ripping out the SWAMP that is MY BACKYARD and putting in some kind of slate based Buddhist spa like party space/bbq/veg-in-pots thing in my backyard. SUPER CUTE gardener dude came over to work out a bid.
SUPER CUTE but very (425).
$5000?!? OUCH?!? Also I think my eucalyptus tree that is like 30 feet tall froze to death this winter. As did my huge original 10 YEAR OLD old rosemary and even my bay tree which I thought was TOTALLY FIERCE.
WHY AM I TALKING LIKE THIS?!? Because this weekend I discovered that that little Unicorn Guy is in FACT David Mason of Slick It Up. His blog, HOUSE OF VADER, is SO TOTALLY FUNNY that I cannot stop talking like him. He is my new SECRET boyfriend.

After the $5000 estimo-visit I went downtown and was very good for the economy. LETS RECOUNT shall we?
.
.
Shopping spree at Di Laurenti. Faro. Faro pasta. Olives. Roasted red peppers. CAPERS?!?
Then:
Shopping spree at The Paris Grocery. Anchovies IN A JAR. Harissa in a TUBE. Harissa in a CAN. Dried garbanzo beans. And wine, rosé, many.
Then:
Shopping spree at the Pike and Western Wine Shop where I bought all the same rosé wines I bought at the The Paris Grocery. Hello my name is OrangeCloveHead and I am a bit of a rosé fan.
Then:
Thén:
Off to Nordstrom for more shoes and a couple shirts for the new job.
Then:
Off to Brooks Brother’s for some pants for the new job.
Then:
Off to the gym.
Then:
Saturday and Sunday were almost identical to Friday.
I'm exhausted.
I'm exhausted.
*************
Oh did I mention today is the first day on MY NEW JOB?!?
Could that be why I am up at 4:00AM on a Monday morning?
More later…….
